Well after a long time in the blogging wilderness, I've finally decided to launch myself into the blogosphere. Let's see how long it lasts :)
The main purpose of this blog is to share thoughts and ideas around real live SOA implementations. I'm an architect currently engaged at the start of a project to design and roll out a brand new core system for a major financial services institute and we're taking the opportunity to embrace SOA principles for the deployment.
This site is to chart progress, discuss issues which arise, share patterns and anti-patterns which we discover and generally share the experience (as well as hopefully getting input and feedback from fellow implementors).
The intent is that rather than a theoretical approach, I'll focus on concrete challenges (and solutions), actual technologies and realworld approaches and constraints.
